Hopeful USMA Class of 2028 : a place to play the waiting game together.

Good morning! I'm grateful for another busy weekend full of distractions from the waiting game.

Any updates for my fellow hopeful appointees? BFEs? TWE? AOG? My DS's portal is still the same with no changes. We did complete most of the paperwork for NSI and got a last minute appointment at the walk-in clinic for the required sport's physical last night.
 
NSI??? What does that mean?

I'm getting word from FFOs and other people experienced in the USMA Admissions process that this is the latest they have ever seen final decisions not come out.

NSI is New Student Indoctrination, a required 2.5 week course for Naval ROTC Midshipmen.

My DS was 3Q+NWL since last February. Just like many of you, we have not heard anything until this morning. We opened the portal and saw a correspondence stating that my DS was fully qualified yet not selected (basically a TWE). Best of luck to you all. Gods plans are far greater than ours. that's the exact same scenario as my DS.... Is your application still open, ours is.

Yes, the application is still opened in the portal. What is interesting is we emailed his Regional Admissions Team over the weekend asking for an update. We did get a reply this morning by someone at WP telling us that my DS was QNS. It also showed up as an official correspondence in his portal. Not sure what else to think of this. We will be moving forward with Plan B :)

I agree, it is definitely not our path but His! My DS's portal was closed last Thursday- no other correspondence. I did send an email to FFR - no response yet.

I've been thinking about you! Has your son reached out to admissions? I'll admit I'm nowhere near an expert, but based on others' experiences, I'm still so baffled by your situation.
