USMAPS 25' USMA 29' groupchat

Thank you so much. Also, I have so many questions... if you go to USMAPS, do you still have to go through the nomination process and apply again to USMA? Does USMAPS have a more flexible schedule on the weekends, or do you still need a pass to leave? Can you have a car while attending USMAPS? Thank you for any information you could offer!
Short answer: yes, yes and yes. Nearing the end of your prep year, you will have to reapply but I found it was way easier. I didn’t get a senator nomination when applying the first time (got VP one because of my dad), but I ended up getting one the second time. This may be because I was already “at” West Point, and I was a safer bet to give a nomination then someone straight from high school.

I went to prep during 2021 (COVID years) so someone can answer better than me. However preparers have more time on the weekend compared to a regular cadet and can travel more.

Yes, you can have a car at prep. However, you will need a plan for it after the year is up because you cannot have it as a plebe. If you have any further questions, feel free to DM me (I just made this account so I’m not sure how everyone on here works but I’ll figure it out). My brother also went to prep last year (currently a plebe) so I’m sure we could answer 98% of your questions.

I just received and accepted my offer to attend USMAPS class of 2025. Send me your snapchat to be added to the groupchat that I will be creating. Looking forward to R-Day and meeting everyone. Congratulations to everyone.
Got my USMAPS offer!
My snap is @m.espiritu

My DS just got into USMAPS! The letter for admission was in his WP Portal and he is beyond excited! We only have the July 15th R-Day date but where can I find the other dates? Just wondering when we would be able to see him in August?

For the most part, dates for events (family day, breaks, etc.) are passed out pretty late. Once your DS finishes CCBT, just have them ask their TACS for further guidance.

Also, for anyone on this thread that gets into USMAPS '25, DM me your email address and I'll forward you some prep details. Also, I can give you my contact information if you would like any direct questions answered, want to know about life at prep, etc.

DS has been accepted to USMAPS!!!! Huge celebrations going on over here! LONG wait was worth it! Is there a parent group or cadet group to get information? If so, could you please pass it on? Thanks and Go ARMY!

Congrats to all of you and your DS/DD - USMAPS is a tough but awesome experience that forms a bond like few others here at the academy.

My DD is very interested in connecting with others headed to USMAPS '25, just accepted her offer last night. Not able to dm (or I'm just oblivious and can't find it) and don't want to post her personal info, but if someone could reach out, with a dm or info for a parent group as well, we'd appreciate it!

You need 5 posts, a week onboard and time for a system refresh to send/receive DMs here. Looks like you need a few more posts.

congrats to all going next year. my daughter graduates from USMAPs this coming Saturday; May 11th.

The most important thing i will stress is that USMAPs was a blessing for my daughter as she is far more prepared than if she went direct. It was the best thing for her and she is graduating the prep school at the top of her class. She has grown up alot.

Some advice, budget your money. my daughter has a good amount saved but there many CCs that spent it as fast as they got paid. Alot of CCs would door dash for Chipolte and etc which is off base.

Get a mattress topper after CBT. Everyone slept on top of the made bed; made inspection easier.

Listen to your Cadre; they are more aware than you know.

Good luck!!!
