Hello,

When I was applying for the USNA, DoDMERB deemed me medically disqualified but said I may be eligible for a medical waiver. Because I was not offered appointment to USNA this year, they did not proceed to review my medical history. So, I was wondering how I could obtain a medical waiver for my college's NROTC program this year? Are there any extra forms I need to fill out or people that I should contact?

Thanks for your time.

For a campus based scholarship for NROTC = The DoDMERB DQ will carry over and your Commander "can" request a medical waiver be considered in your case...but that's the Commander's decision """"IF"""" you apply and the Det concurs with your application.

National NROTC scholarship winner = If you are selected off the National NROTC board...you will automatically be reviewed for a medical waiver :wiggle:

Thank you very much for the quick reply. In order for me to be considered for admittance into the program, they have asked me to fill out a form regarding my medical history. Do you happen to know whether I need to fill out the DoDMERB form again or contact the NROTC unit directly and inform them of my dq? And also, would you mind telling me what "det" means?

Thank you so much.

Contact made...all questions resolved :wiggle:
