A close family friend's son had applied to West Point this year and last year.
Last year he was medially disqualified due to a torn ACL. His scholastic, ACT/SAT, sports, congressional nominations and his Eagle Scout qualifications are all very high.
So he had surgery in August and resubmitted everything again, and this time he was disqualified because his surgery less than 12 months before R Day. He has had a 100% recovery and is running 1/2 marathons and etc. The USMA officer he has been working with from Admissions has suggested he work through his two congressman to get them to submit a Waiver/Appeal. Is there any other options/recommendations? Obviously waiting a year is another option.
