Hey for the kids/parents who have went to Inspire did you/your child take the CFA? Would you recommend taking it even if you know you won’t get a good score at the moment just to show that you are trying? and if you/your child did take it or did go to Inspire what were your scores and did most people take it?

You are given the chance to take thr CFA at any CVW, NASS, or Inspire event. If you don't take it, it wont be held against you at all. If you've already done well and you dont think you can do better, hold back. If you're a junior, know that you'll have to take it again your senior year to count for your application.

My DS took the CFA in both the Inspire and Summer Seminar. This worked out well for him but certainly every candidate’s situation/ experience can be very different . I would highly recommend practicing the required events before hand to have a general gauge of readiness.

DS is going to inspire 4/18. He planned on taking the CFA. But he's a junior. You are sure it won't count for his application for Fall 2025? I'm guessing this inspire session will be all HS juniors. Why would they do the CFA then, if it won't count? Just for practice?

The purpose of the Inspire Weekend is outreach and to expose your child to military service. The CFA is not a big deal as of right now. We only record scores if you ask us to and you can always retake it whenever. We are here for you and your experience! :)
