USAFAPS Acceptance announcement

Hello, As the username would suggest I am currently an active-duty airmen who applied to the academy this year. Would anyone happen to know when they usually post-acceptance letters? How would I know, Email, nominator, or Portal? I also applied to the academy directly would that affect when I'm considered? Any help is welcome.

Anytime between now and I-day is a possibility. However, you will likely have your decision by mid April.

You should receive an email noting an update in your AFA portal. The portal will provide the details. Technically, everyone applies to USAFA and then you are considered for the Prep School. The Prep School was intended for AF airmen and is often the first step for them. I have an AF freshman, who attend the Prep School last year. He was stationed at Nellis AFB.

It was in the April timeframe when he was notified of the AFAPS invitation. I bet you are in good shape to receive one too.
