The Everything Drawer - Everyone has one, right? (post anything - within the rules)

DS usually brings home a decent crowd for this break and Thanksgiving and I am always amazed at how much they can eat. We are glad to have them and going to miss it when it passes. He knows to never leave anyone behind at Bancroft.
One of our many but most memorable crowds - women’s rugby team had over-celebrated at Heroes pub. Sponsor daughter called and asked for emergency accommodations and vehicle support, as most were going to leave cars there. DH ferried several, I broke out every pillow and blanket. We had sleeping rugby players everywhere. I got up early the next morning for a carrier group deployment-sized log run for bagels, cream cheese selection, milk, juice, etc.

In the morning, set out bagels, cream cheese, jams, peanut butter, several pans of baked bacon, a massive bowl of fresh fruit - and Sam’s Club size ibuprofen and acetaminophen. There were groaning bodies everywhere. The boxers were happy dogs as they visited blanketed mounds.

Massive solar storm hitting us tonight. Go outside from 2200 to 0200. You may see the aurora borealis "supercharged" because of these coronal mass ejections!

DS and his group are a bit rough around the edges kind of like bulls in the fine china shop. Which is what my family is used to and enjoys. Very sarcastic and random shenanigans. Not long ago we got a last minute call to host the chess team for a few days as they had a tournament in the area. Nice guys but much more refined and quieter than we are used to.

DW made several meals in advance and they are now officially gone! I will be on grill duty tomorrow I am told for lunch and dinner. Breakfast will be prepared by DS as the old man (ME) needs to get in a run and hit the gym (keeps my head right). Well as right as it gets.

PJs are B.A.
I’ll try to find the article I read a while back where a PJ had been a SEAL, did his enlistment, then joined the Air Force and you guessed it, became a PJ. Of course it’s only one man’s opinion when he said the PJ training pipeline was harder than BUDS but how many others have taken that path.
