im trying to request my dd214 by filling out standard form 180 and it asks whether i was an officer or enlisted but it doesnt really give any other options. anybody know what you have to put as someone who got out as a cadet and never commisioned?

If I am not mistaken there is no DD-214 issued for personnel disenrolled from a Pre-Comm program and are issued Branch appropriate disenrollment forms.

This issue has come up several times over the years. I recommend calling USCGA, Registrar or Cadet Administration, to ask at the source what you would have gotten, specifically a DD-214. If it was issued, ask about obtaining a replacement and what you put in the request form.

USNA Registrar office is the DD-214 contact there. DD-214s are given to non-grads.

Yes, cadets are issued DD-214 upon discharge (right across from my office...)

PM me I will connect you.
Sorry im new to this site and it says that im unable to private message. is there any other way i can get in contact with you?

It takes 5 posts and a week onboard, plus system update time to send/receive. You’re almost there.
