GMC Fall 2024

My DS will be going to prep school at GMC in the Fall. His goal is to go to the USCGA, class of 2029. I think I saw that there is a forum, maybe on FaceBook, where GMC cadets are connecting. Can someone please direct me to it?

First off, I've heard great things about both Marion Military Institute as well as Georgia Military College. We did not look into any others, and both schools have very strong support on these pages. For us, there were a couple of factors. Not necessarily in order, GMS is closer to home (we are 4 hours away in Charleston); cost and payment structure were a better fit for our needs and limitations; most importantly, DS's virtual meeting/interview with LTC Ramirez "clicked" better with DS, which is extremely important. In short, you can't really go wrong with either one.
 
As of today, our DS is going to be going to GMC this fall. He just received a Falcon Foundation Scholarship for the USAFA and is actually turning in his 4 year Navy Scholarship to The Citadel to take this route and work his tail off to do what's necessary to get his USAFA spot for next year.

We're only about 35 miles away from GMC in Greensboro, GA in case anyone needs anything.

that was my other account you replied to, but I’m going to GMC for CGAS with the CGA. If your son wants to connect on IG then you could pm it if you want. Im from SC also
