Glitch/mistake or 2 nominations?

Hello, a couple of weeks ago I received a nomination from one of my states senators to USMA. Since then my portal has shown three nominations, two of which are from this senator (shows as WI61, WI62, WI62). I have never heard of someone getting two nominations to the same academy from one person, but I was wondering if anyone on here had ever heard of something like this before.

It happens. Probable answer is that that senator had two open slots this cycle, and added you to both slates.

Yes, one of my students received two USMA nominations from the same Senator. Plus, two more from the other MoCs. Needless to say, he is now a junior at West Point! Congratulations!

Same over here, I received two nominations from my MOC with one was also a Principal Nomination.
