My DS has completed his PCQ. He has several items on his Resume to complete such as attending Boy's State, West Point SLE, Governor's Page program as well as a Mission Trip to Honduras - all will be completed by July. Should he wait until these are all completed before submitting his applications for Congressional Noms? He's been accepted to all, just has to actually complete/attend them. Thank you :)

Verify the due dates for your congressional noms, but most are Oct-Nov, so no rush to submit early. But you could work on letters of recommendation and essay questions in the summer.

Yes, I agree. MOCs will not start looking at the applications until after the deadline so there is no benefit to getting them in early. Much better to make it as strong an application as possible.

For sure wait. He may have things learned/experienced during those adventures that he wants to include in his essay, for example.

Thanks this answered a question of mine. Seems like submitting some things earlier is beneficial as you can get chosen earlier.
