IEPs and 504s are definitely not the same, though I guess you could say they are in the same family. 504 plans allow for accommodations, while following the standard curriculum for that age group. IEPs allow for the establishment of new educational benchmarks tailored to the individual student...

For what it’s worth, DD’s letter updated from conditional appointment to full appointment tonight. Not sure if it is an isolated update or not.

DD is interested in engineering. She thinks mechanical, but I could see her falling in love with systems engineering/operations research. All the academies have both… her Ivy is t10 in both of those programs. Incredibly fortunate that, on paper, she has no bad choices at this point!
