Has anyone seen or have the USMA Academic Calendar for 2024-25? We aren't even sure if this will be our plan but I need to see when Plebe Parent weekend is. Anyone have that date at least? TIA!

Are parents allowed to attend A Day? I know how this all works at USAFA but USMA is a complete mystery.
Yes! Also, cadets are released until about 7pm Sunday to their parents (this was two years ago at least).

My understanding was the cadets had to be back Saturday night and then could be released again Sunday morning.
That is correct, you get your cadet (assuming they pass the SAMMI) on Saturday after the parade. For the 2027 class, they had 20 mile privileges until 11pm Saturday night. Then we got them Sunday morning until Sunday evening.

For A-Day weekend, you should probably not plan to keep your cadet with you all day and afternoon on that Sunday. Plan maybe for something up until lunch time, but then they are likely going to want to get back. They will have a lot to prepare for with the first day of class the next day and having some extra time on that Sunday will benefit them.

Yes, parents can attend A Day (and any other family member or friend, for that matter). That's when the cadet candidates join the corps and become plebes. You can take your Plebe for awhile on A Day, then they have to report back for the night, but will be released again on Sunday to spend time with you. They cannot go more than 20 miles off post.

As the good book says (ie The Moms Guide to Surviving West Point), let your Plebe dictate what they want to do. If they want to shop, then go shopping. If they want to eat in the hotel room then sleep, eat then sleep. If they want to get back early to prepare for the first day of class, then get back early. It's great to see them, but let them take the reigns with what they need and want to do on this one. The key here is to be as flexible as possible.

Don't plan much for Saturday or Sunday other than a nice quiet dinner / breakfast. The cadets are exhausted and most of them just want a long shower, great food , and SLEEP

Mine just wanted to put on civilian clothes and chill in the hotel room, shower and sleep. Know that anywhere they go off base or on, they are to be in uniform, white over gray. We did make a trip to Wooburry Commons for food, Walmart/Target for supplies.
