Medical DQ and Waiver

I was medically disqualified from USNA and received the TD. My portal said, pending waiver review or something like that but I was never issued one. I want to apply again, but I would like to make sure my medical DQ can be issued a waiver in the first place. Who do I contact?

I recommend contacting your case manager that you will find on the DoDMERB website, first page. If you haven't read over all of the material on that webpage, you will find a wealth of good information. Good luck!

When you reapply you will see a new box on dodmerb for usna 2024. You will notice that your under waiver review for Naval Academy says 2023. It will probably continue to stay on there, but it’s irrelevant now… they’ll open a new file for you when you start your application this summer/fall

It’s my understanding that Usna wont start the waiver process until they consider you a competitive applicant

Yes, I understand this, but I'm pretty sure some medical DQs are unwaiverable. I just want to make sure that they could grant me a waiver in the first place.

gotcha, I misread your initial post. I don't know if anyone will be able to tell you for sure but you could search the forum for your DQ and see if anyone has posted info about it. But even then, it's up to the academy. Your dodmerb liaison would be a good start though.
