Low Quarters

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a pair of low quarters for R-Day/Beast and am not sure if they will be acceptable. The shoes are called "Bates Men's Sentry LUX Oxford HIGH Shine, Black". Will these shoes work, and if not, which models work? I am purchasing primarily through Amazon.

Also, are there any socks that have worked for others in the past and are acceptable for R-Day and Beast?

No, to my understanding shoes cannot be pre shined and only matte ones are allowed.

"High Shine" Bates leather is OK. "High Gloss" from Bates are not. The gloss has an artificial material. The shine is leather. When you get your shoes, order some Sham Shine. Great for quick and easy touch ups.

For Class of 2028, the Footwear memo only gives the choice between Bootmaker model 2468 and Altama 02 for men's low quarters. DS already has Bates High Shine Black Oxfords (matte finish). Will these be acceptable, or rejected because not one of the two listed on the memo?

They will not check for shoe brands nor the model. Just don't have the artificial shine. Real leather, oxford low quarter will be fine.

Call the Exchange to order... (845) 446-5446 extension 501 or 502. You will probably have to size down at least a 1/2 size to a whole size, so order a couple of pair. You can return the one(s) that don't fit.
