DoDMERB Medical Status

Does anyone know what " Awaiting Receipt of Remedial" means? I noticed this status on DS DoDMERB application. Thank you for any feedback.

Usually it means they are waiting for AMI to decide if a waiver will be granted.

In my case it meant that they needed additional medical information (AMI) to make a determination (DQ or Q).

Can AMI be directed to a physician or should the candidate do something? I say that as my DS status went from under review to awaiting receipt as well, but no correspondence. Just making sure.

It should be posted in his portal, and/or he may get an email stating what they are asking for. If it's been like this for a few days he can email his DODMERB technician and state that he has not received the request for AMI. It will specifically say what they are looking for, and he will need to take care of it, they do not send it directly to the Doctor. If medical appointments or testing is required, DODMETS will be posting in their portal where he will get that done and then he will need to call and schedule. Hope that helps!
