Hi, I'm currently a rising MS3 in ROTC. I was looking at commissioning into the National Guard after graduation. I wanted to meet with different guard units to see if it is the right fit for me. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to set up one of these meetings, I'm trying to find the right person to contact in order to setup the meetings but I've been unsuccessful. I understand SMP is an option but already being on a National Scholarship I didn't feel like joining that program. Any help on how to find the right person to contact would be greatly appreciated? Thank you

Each state has an assigned Officer Strength Manager (OSM) for the National Guard. I'm sure someone has a complete list.

Have you asked your Cadre for help? Are there any Cadets in your program who are SMP, who you could tag along with during their drill?
During your MS 3 year you will begin the accessions process. You will have many opportunities and resources to explore all the options and branches. I think there are some virtual presentations given by the National Guard. OSMs are also a great resource. Google is another. I'm betting if you contact some units and let them know you are considering joining them and would like to visit a drill, they would love to have you visit.
