Tuition...not at all I would think. Student fees...depends on the university. The large P4/5 universities don't fund athletic scholarships, etc by student fees....they "should" be self-sustaining at $100mm+ revenues. Smaller schools shift a lot of the burden on mandatory athletic student...

Train is about 2 1/2 hours I believe so not a bad option if you can't find a direct flight. Can get off at BWI station for NASS shuttle bus. Pretty easy option and may even be a "new" experience for him.

Maybe think about AP Lit over Honors English? Otherwise APUSH is more applicable than AP HUGS but I know HUGS is easier.

I'm not a counselor, check with USMA admissions for official word. But believe if you take the 2 physics courses that would make 4. Just keep in mind 4 is a minimum....many of your competitors could be taking freshman bio, AP Environmental, Chem, AP Chem, AP Physics (1 or 2), AP Bio, etc...

Seems like a valid skill for the Navy. YMMV

Fair point...makes a difference if team sport or individual sport. OP didn't say. I think most would hesitate to let down a team sport if they are counting on you (and likely your friends too).

I'd hate to miss senior night after years of practice and playing time as OP's kid. Heck...as a parent I have "allergies" every year even when not my kid out there!

I suggest a 1 week travel insurance policy if you live abroad with mission group....it's fairly inexpensive.
