C/O 2028 Wait List: The Wait Listed Bunch

No waiver. W No waiver needed. Wonder if they need to confirm where they’ll charge her nomination?

C/O 2028 Wait List: The Wait Listed Bunch

My DD’s status just changed from WL to LOA today. Wondering why LOA vs. FQOA? We’ve been of the thinking she was fully 3Q all along. Thanks for your insights. Just not sure how excited to be…

C/O 2028 Wait List: The Wait Listed Bunch

Fantastic post. Brought a tear to my eye. I’ve been relatively quiet as I live this WL process with my DD. I’ve watched some exceptional, good bad and ugly posts hit this forum since 4/15. Frustration has set in for many of us and we’re doing all we can to remain calm,, cool and collected...

What is the average percent of the Plebe class taking Calc II?

Can Enlisted/Guard/Reserve soldiers be appointed to any SA through their commanding Officer?

Thanks for your input. I didn’t expect the OP would still be around. I did figure CaptMJ would have some valuable insights as the original and initial respondent and who seems to be everywhere on this forum. Clear on difference between Nom vs. Appointment. DD is currently sitting on waitlist...

Can Enlisted/Guard/Reserve soldiers be appointed to any SA through their commanding Officer?

To be clear; I’m referring to Strategic Sealift Mid Program, not Simultaneous Membership Program.

Can Enlisted/Guard/Reserve soldiers be appointed to any SA through their commanding Officer?

Reviving an old thread here: Is your SSMP Commander (at Mass Maritime Academy in this case) a nominating source to the Naval Academy? I’m only finding language that speaks to ROTC. SSMP is not mentioned, so perhaps it is an implied “no”. This is the language from USNA’s website...

    Re-Applicant for Class of 2029

Can’t beat the hands-on. I wish my Aersopace Engineering degree program was more hands on at the time; like letting me hop in one of the rockets or satellites I designed once in a while…. Got to stick my whole head in a cylinder cut-alway of a diesel engine in one of the shops while on tour...

    Re-Applicant for Class of 2029

I think I just learned how it works: Reservists earn points equal to qualifying years of service. This is all so interesting.

    Re-Applicant for Class of 2029

Thanks for sharing your story. I shared this with my DD who is weighing her options while she sits on the WL. We’re headed to visit MassMA today. It seems to me that getting a Marine Engineering degree from MMA along with doing SSMP to commission as a SSO would get you the same career path...

    Re-Applicant for Class of 2029

I’m noting each of you who are reapplying to c/o 2029 seem to have skipped a year,; not applying to c/o ‘28. May I ask why?

USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

Our plan B has suddenly changed from a NESCAC school with D3 hockey participation to Mass Maritime Academy with D3 lacrosse via an out-of-the-blue recruiting call. They found out through a friend at MMA that our DD is waitlisted and said they can help her and support her with a re-app for next...
