As long as you understand that an educational delay, while possible, has very slim odds you'll be ok. Work on getting in the very best shape of your life, leadership skills, athletics/teamwork, and grades. They are ALL important.

To the best of my knowledge it is not possible to delay the scholarship. Further, if he has a Falcon Scholarship he is almost guaranteed a spot at USAFA as long as he works hard and keeps his nose clean. So, why would you delay the scholarship since it seems almost certain you would turn it down...

Yes... This will never happen. Almost always a bad assumption. It's far more likely the applicant will not hear until months later. Few scholarships are awarded on the initial board. The folks who do get them in this timeframe usually walk on water.

I would recommend 15 hours excluding ROTC. DS had no problem with that load, and he took 18 hours 4 semesters to lighten his load for Senior year when he had more ROTC responsibilities. Don't worry about exceeding 120 hours as long as you don't meet graduation requirements (probably a course...

What college? If you look at the top of the ROTC forums that discuss colleges covering room and board. If it's official word from the college that you received I've no reason to doubt it. There are colleges that do that
