If anyone is at Foundation, can you tell me your experiences at whatever school you are at? I'm trying to decide what school to go to.

yup! I decided pretty quickly lol
That is awesome!! So psyched for you! I know you were disappointed at first, truly commendable that you set your feelings aside to make way for this incredible opportunity!

DS and I have been doing lots of research on this in the event he is lucky enough to get this offer instead of a turn down. His 1st choice would be MMI. He would want 100% military junior college with the least amount of distractions = MMI. He feels this will give him the best advantage for better math and time management skills (he’s admittedly on the weaker end currently) for plebe year.

So my advice would be to think about what you’d most like to improve and the school that will be the best fit for those goals. While my son would love to play another year of football and / or lacrosse that would not be the purpose of the prep year for him.

Hope that help! Good luck and I’m so happy for you!! Keep us posted when you decide!

Let me know what your son decides too!

DD went MMI a few years ago and she had a challenging, but great experience. It's been said that MMI is in the middle of the middle of nowhere. It's also been said that MMI is an appointment factory. It's not easy, but if you stay focused, do the work, and stay out of trouble, you'll be at Annapolis next June. It's really that simple.

Not sure if Captain Wallace is still on point for the Foundation, but he and his staff take a ton of pride in the Foundation program. It is known for having the highest USNA success rate of all the ascension programs. You were selected for Foundation because they want you to succeed and they believe this is the best path for that.

MMI is the same way. From Self Prep to Sponsored, they want their students to succeed and they have the formula to make that happen. COL Bowen runs the SAP show down there, and like CAPT Wallace, is invested in your success. Like I said - do the work and stay out of trouble. You'll be ahead of the game when you get to I-Day. You've got this!!
