    Admissions Chances?

Remember that AIM is also a marketing tool. USCGA uses it to help spread the word. Indy1880 tells me that you may be from the Midwest, and if so, this may be another reason that you were accepted. Also, it appears that you haven’t participated in sports until your junior year? You don’t...

RISE and other pre-Day 1 events

In addition, google things to see/do in the area. For example, Mystic has an aquarium. The beach is not too far away. Also, if your kid is an athlete, some coaches have cookouts at their house so new teammates and families can get to know each other. Getting there several days early has...

    Medical Waiver Process

Maybe it’s finally time to decide on a single plan B, and eliminate plans C,D,E, etc. Either plan A (I assume USCGA) or plan B is where she will go next school year. If plan B requires a $ deposit before waiver status is known, pay the $. Then put plan B off to the side. Start getting...

    C/O 2029 Service Academies Applicant

If you are re-applying to five, then does that mean that you applied to USCGA? From what I have heard, they are excellent at talking to applicants who did not get admitted, going through the previous application thoroughly, and giving great advice. I would hope that the other academy...
