    Rough start to high school.

Best bet will be to get noticed by a coach. Reach out to them. They can help the process. Best of luck.

    AIM offers?

Totally agree with this! My son choked on a chunk of food at dinner bc a cadre startled him and they had to do the Heimlick on him! They offered him a sash to wear on his arm to take it easy the next few days but he declined. His cadre came up to me at the grad ceremony and apologized about not...

    AIM offers?

Good idea! They will do the PFE while at AIM, so it will be good to train before!

    AIM Medical Insurance

We needed to send a copy of our insurance card last year, just like many other camps, showcases, or summer sessions. I would attach whatever policy you have and just explain it when you send your paper work in. My son did end up getting sick last summer and had to see the nurse, which is guess...

    Just got accepted to AIM!

In all other worlds LOA does mean letter of acceptance 😜 We learned when my son got a LOA from USMMA it meant letter of assurance and it greatly helps with the application process, especially with getting a congressional nom. My son ended up taking his appointment to USCGA. We are still learning...

Do I have a decent chance of acceptance?

He had over 400 volunteer hours in his community, along with many other things. But community service was an easy one to fit in and was flexible.

Do I have a decent chance of acceptance?

My son will be in next years class. He volunteered over 200 hours at a Title 1 school (economically disadvantaged demographics) starting with after school events and going in early mornings bc his school started later. He also organized toiletry and snack drives for the school through his...

    AIM offers?

Congratulations! It was the best experience for my son. It made USCGA his first choice.

    NCAA ID for Athlete

Yes. The CGA coach sent over an official ceremonial certificate to ‘sign’ for my baseball player. He just did the April signing day. You just don’t need to send it back. That’s for any D3 school.

Do you have a baseball player? What year?

    NCAA ID for Athlete

My son has one bc he was recruited for D1 - but you do not need for D3. You can also do the free one. The NLI is also just for ceremonial purposes for D3 My son will be playing baseball at CGA.

    AIM offers?

We found out on the day they said in his Bear’s Den Portal last year. My son got an email that there was a decision letter in his portal. AIM was a very eye opening experience for my son, I’m so grateful he had the chance to experience it.

    USMMA Class of 2028 Waiting

I’m glad it worked out for you. I have read on some forums that the students had the check marks in the portal and then they disappeared and admissions said so sorry. File closed. My son had a LOA from USMMA so there was not a lot of stress (and he turned them down) but I feel for the kids that...

    USMMA Class of 2028 Waiting

I have heard so many issues with the letters of REC for USMMA this year. We took a picture when all the portals were completed - and I’m so happy I read to do that! I hope it all works out for you! My son just turned down USMMA so hopefully that opens a spot.

    USCGA Baseball?

My son did 3rd session of AIM (for USCGA) last July and that’s when CG became his number one choice. We met in depth with Coach Casey while we were out there, he did a Academic pre-read on knew he had a strong chance of getting in. He got a LOA from USMMA.
